How Insurance Works with IRG

You do not need specialist insurance for the activities that take place on your property. Our clients are government and public-sector organisations (military, police, emergency services) who carry their own institutional liability coverage.

For military clients, the Ministry of Defence provides a formal indemnity to you as the landowner, covering any damage or injury caused by their activities. This is part of the MOD's standard process for training on private land. Damage claims are handled directly by the MOD's Defence Infrastructure Organisation. Police and emergency service clients carry equivalent institutional coverage.

Your standard property insurance (buildings, public liability for normal use) is all that is expected. The client's indemnity covers what happens during their activities — your insurance covers your property in its normal state.

I understand that clients provide their own liability coverage for activities on my property, and I am not required to obtain specialist insurance for their activities.

Terms of Registration

By registering your property with IRG Location Services, you agree to the following:

Accuracy. The information you have provided is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge. You will notify IRG of any material changes.
Site visits. You consent to an IRG representative visiting the property to verify suitability, by appointment.
No obligation. Registration does not guarantee bookings. IRG will match your property to suitable client requirements on a case-by-case basis.
Bookings & payment. All bookings are subject to a separate property hire agreement. Payment terms will be agreed before any booking is confirmed. IRG will pay the property owner directly within 14 days of the booking end date.
Insurance & liability. You are responsible for maintaining your standard property insurance (buildings, public liability for normal use). You are NOT required to obtain specialist cover for client activities. Clients provide their own institutional liability coverage, and for military bookings, the MOD issues a formal indemnity protecting you from training-related damage and injury claims. IRG facilitates this process but does not itself issue indemnity.
Confidentiality. Some clients may require confidentiality regarding the nature of their activities. You agree not to disclose client identities or activities to third parties without written consent.
Cancellation. Either party may withdraw from the register at any time by giving 7 days' written notice to venues@irgroup.uk.
Data. Your details will be held securely by Integrated Resilience Group Ltd in accordance with UK GDPR. We will not share your personal information with third parties without your consent, except as necessary to facilitate bookings.
